If you've been a customer at Frank's Automotive in New Braunfels for any length of time, you already know how we approach the work. For everyone else — welcome. This blog is going to be the place we share the practical car-care information we've been telling customers across the service counter for 26+ years.

What we'll cover

We'll write about the things that come up in conversation at the shop:

  • Symptom-to-cause walkthroughs — what a particular noise, light, or driving feel usually means, and what to do about it
  • Maintenance schedules — when to actually service the things your owner's manual says to service, and which ones matter more in the Texas climate
  • Repair explainers — what's actually involved in a common repair so you can compare estimates intelligently
  • Make-specific tips — common issues with the brands we work on a lot
  • Shop news — when we hire, when we close for holidays, when we offer something new

We won't write to fill space. If a topic doesn't help the reader, it doesn't get a post.

Who we are

Frank's Automotive & Collision has been family-owned since 1998. We're ASE Certified on the mechanical side and I-CAR Gold Class on the collision side — those certifications mean our techs train every year on current manufacturer procedures and current materials. We're an AAA Approved Auto Repair facility, a Bosch Service Center, and a Tech-Net Professional shop, which means our 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty is honored nationwide through the Tech-Net network. About Frank's has the full story.

Got a question?

If there's something specific you'd like us to write about — a noise you've been hearing, a service you're not sure about, a comparison between two repair approaches — let us know. Email us at appointments@franksautomotiveandcollision.com or call (830) 627-3939. And if your car needs more than a blog post, request an appointment and we'll take a look.
